Wordsmiths & Readers of Tarrant Meeting (9/2/17)

Even if you’re not a writer, if you’re struggling to find some sense of mental clarity in these strange times and if you’re desperately searching for what your place is in helping to fix the madness of this planet, I feel you can take a great deal of practical knowledge away from this presentation.
This topic came up about a year ago in a past meeting. So, this month’s theme is somewhat of a do-over. However, in light of the current events that are unfolding in this nation, I felt that going back to this topic was extremely important.
With all the major events currently taking place in our country, saying, finding a zen state is extremely difficult is an understatement.
And, if you are a writer, having to contend with thoughts of various global issues running through your head and having to deal with your own 100-and-1 personal problems can make finding the peace-of-mind to sit down and compose quality literature seem impossible.
At this month’s meeting, Allison Fowler (mental health care professional) and, I, The Stormy Poet (published author, social commentator, lifestyle blogger) discussed the unique challenges we writers face in regards to finding mental clarity as a writer, and we provide some advice on how you, as a writer, can cope and manage the modern stresses of living in current-day America and how you can prevent them from inhibiting your creative spirit.
If you like what we’re doing and would like to see it grow, please feel free to contribute any dollar amount to support my community initiatives, at my website (https://goo.gl/5P2oQh).  Any bit helps!  Many thanks!

THIS AUDIO WAS RECORDED AT A “WORDSMITHS & READERS OF TARRANT” MEETING, A LOCAL WRITING GROUP THAT I LEAD.

  1. Good video and session my brother, this is something all writers need to hear and really tune into. Thanks for taking the time to put this out there. You are very talented and continue to do what you do, artists never quit even when everyone else does!
