To anyone you come across,
even if they've made you cross,
always say, "I appreciate your time."
For, it's a commodity of the most divine.
Tell me, of what kind can't be replaced,
and then tell me of what kind can't be permanently erased?
When fools stalk money, it's actually time they chase,
hoping Big Ben's arms extend a broader embrace.
So, what's money to oxygen and oxygen to time?
Without milliseconds' governance, our respirations would never rhyme.
"Thank you for your time," acknowledges each other's most precious gift;
it declares we honor the very parameters upon which the human race exists.

📕““I Appreciate Your Time” ” is a piece from my upcoming published anthology, “Return from the Pale Trail: Gifts to Humanity We’ve Been Taught to Forget.” I’m ecstatic to share this wonderful piece of literature with the family.
