So loud, goofy, big and dumb,
they drum and drone through peaceful streets with the sole purpose of rendering eardrums numb.  

They are masters of men with, shall we say, teenie-weenie "egos."
For, they're slaves, cursed to engorge gluttonous guts with gargantuan gallons;
they sit in traffic taller because of unwillingness to holistically grow,
which would have kept their gas bill from being the pimp and them the hoe.  

They're advertised as "rough, reliable, and rugged."
But, tell me, what cargo is the average Joe or Joanna really even out here regularly tuggin'?
And, if you own the Big Truck's cousin,
the SUV,
and you have no marital family,
you don't own it.  It, in fact, owns you.  

Big Trucks convinced millions they were needed,
from which artificial demand spawned and succeeded.
At least, I guess, you get to sit up high on I-35 at 5:05PM,
while your babies' future world is stolen, raped, and relentlessly depleted.

They told women, them driving them is more safe
and that the men who drove them whom they rode with are more safe. 
Yet, they forgot to mention the staggering rollover rates
and/or their buffoonish blind spots they possess
that've sealed so many innocent drivers' fates.  

To my long-haulers, dumpers, deliverers, and hot-shotters, I mean no disrespect.
I only want to hold those 
who aren't the pros 
using a big truck to get their checks
to get checked.  

If you bought a big pickup to compensate,
as a man,
or if, as a woman, you irrationally crave for a space you think is safe,
congratulations!
You've successfully fulfilled neither goal, 
⁊ your children and theirs have been doomed to an inhospitable world they'd never think to create.

Modern tailgates and wide bodies are man's commitment to every kind of declining rate.  
In your old age, when it comes to how they see you, don't be shocked by their dignified ⁊ righteous hate.

One of my goals with this literary project was to pay homage to the literary titans and forms of literature that have gone before me. Therefore, I’ve incorporated older writing styles, phraseology, and no-longer-used punctuation of American Literature in this book.

And, so, in this piece, I utilized the Tironian Et.
