A woman’s laugh, the Maker’s finely tuned, constructed, and conducted melody,
is a kind of ruthless force
when it comes to mowing down any kind of gloom in your path.
I wish not to know the man whose soul is not stirred
by the rhythmless and, yet, sacredly synchronized harmony
they emit—
especially when you’re the source of its unhindered and holy bliss.
If such ear-healing hymns don’t lift his spirits, then,
that man possesses no spirit to lift.
If you caused her to slap her knee,
to struggle to catch her breath, or
to crank out a tear or two,
I challenge you to name for me a more fulfilling triumph.
A woman’s laugh—
hearing such
is to give your psyche a bath;
it dissolves, rinses, and punishes the abuse the day attempted to inflict and
makes you forget any intention of wrath.
Whether you’ve just met her or have known her for years,
her simple and, yet, divine chuckle truly aides
in keeping you on the righteous and positive path. (Nancy Sinatra – Kind of a Woman)
