Can we, as black people, even articulate why we celebrate holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas? Are we doing so because it benefits us in any way as a group? If so, how does it benefit us by celebrating holidays we didn't even create and that are even meant for us?
Better yet, why don't we celebrate the ones we come up with on our own?
